I'm sticking to the activeX controls that I've used in the past since I don't want to spend too much time now on this new media type. When I get a chance I'll check out those behaviors. Only bummer is that I need two movies since the mac complains about the ActiveX member even if its not in the score. Luckily its a MIAW whose only purpose is to view a video so I'm not adding much overhead. I thought I could easily modify my current behaviors for the new media type, but it turns out that it's more work than I want to do right now. I did get a good tip from the live docs about "the currentTime" property although I didn't realize I could SET it until after I posted the last mail and decided to stick to ActiveX. So it is possible to move the playhead with this property using lingo. That was my major problem so when I have time I'll see if I can duplicate all the functions I'm using now with activeX.
