Sure, the optimization in this case is mostly insignificant, but it gets us all thinking of more efficient code, even in the most mundane of methods. Jakob jumping in at the last minute with a faster method, was completely expected, and appreciated, whether it has practical value in and of itself of not. It's an art thing, a craftsmanship thing. For those of us who have been doing Dir work for a while and know how to code most of the functionality asked of us, this kind of exchange is where we get value from the list. Because there is almost always a slightly better way, even if the gain is transparent to the product. Thanks Colin and Laurent - it was entertaining.
