It's funny - the same sentiments have been voiced since '97, when Flash was introduced, though they get more paranoid with each upgrade. I remember way back in the early 90s, designers worrying that the new Photoshop filters were going to do them in, because "now anybody can make a drop shadow".
With this upgrade, Flash is encroaching on some formerly shockwave turf, but it's far from replacing Director.
