But y'all have to agree that Flash has had more high-profile exposure than director, and seems to have been helped along by Macromedia as well. I don't blame them, as I too would push the product that was getting attention.
With that in mind, it's sometimes been a hard sell with director in terms of what a cleint may want - ie shockwave flash / shockwave director branding. Personally I find that the years of director programming help out with my flash stuff, and I'll concentrate on more flash work since there are more paying gigs for flash right now than director.
