Hi Howdy, Man do all Mac purchases come with a brain washing. I have used Macs before and they are OK but I still don't understand this Mac arrogance and snobbery. Are you people like that already or does Steve do a Job on you? I've been using computers for 20 years and I've always learned far more about programming, OS procedures, or anything about the computer from talented PC users. I have never learned anything of substance from a MAC user. Most people I have ever met that use a Mac know nothing about how the machine or OS operates. All they know how to do is click on the moronic dialog boxes with one mouse button. "Are you sure?" I run Win2000 and my machine never crashes. I have not spent a dime on repairs since I built the machine. Also if a PC does need repair it is usually a simple procedure you can do yourself. If a MAC needs repair you HAVE to take it in and have the Apple drones bless it and charge you $500 for a new motherboard.
So who's the intelligent one now... Hehehehehe Cheers, JS At 16:47 +0100 04/02/2002, Peter King wrote: >How can they claim to be intelligent when they pay twice the price, >for half the performance, of an equivalent PC Now now, a $1200 iBook gets about the same oomph as a PIII. Where we get off cheap is in the maintenance and upkeep costs. Since we are not rebooting the machines four or five times a day or paying for bench time to get 'em fixed *again* or running *yet another* virus check, we actually end up saving at least twice the machine's cost over just a few months. This is time we can spend writing tedious drivel about how great Macs are. See how neatly it works? >and use software that is two versions out of date? Yes, you have me there, seeing as how Darwin (the core of X) is based on UNIX, which was invented in 1969 of all times. I mean how non-modern can you get? Next we'll be using Underwoods for the love of Pete. -- -- WthmO Q: What's the difference between a Mac user and a Windows user? A: Mac users swear BY their computers. Windows users swear AT them. -- [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
