No, because I was not asking how to write some code that filters a specific
selection, but I would like to know how I write Lingo the way that it can
handle all possible logical selections - if not all, then MANY logical
selections.

Or, - still trying to make myself understood:

If a user wants to select all images, where

(bit 1 and bit 5 and bit 17 are set) OR (bit 1 is not set AND bit 8 OR bit
13 are set)

the once and for all written Lingo code would have to cope with that wish
(and any other similar wish)
