The Shockwave plugin handles Shockwave and Flash, but there is still a
separate Flash plugin that doesn't include Shockwave support.

They could be versions < 8.5, which would hose your 3D.

This is an issue, but one of the big advantages of shockwave over quicktime
is that Microsoft seems prepared to support shockwave and include it with
their browser, so the installed base of >8.5 viewers will only increase,
while the number of quicktime capable viewers will likely decrease over
time.

Personally, I think the Quicktime format is superior to the other movie
formats, but as a web developer I realize that Microsoft is in a standards
war for the future of online video, and will give no quarter to Quicktime
(or Realmedia) as long as the Justice department is looking the other way.

Stupid question... are there now two separate plugins for shockwave and
flash, or are they the same?
