I remember reading somewhere that there was a performance hit on 8.5.1
with Flash anims, hense my question. I have an idea for an animated
navigation system and would love to use it in Director, but at the
moment it runs a little sluggish in 8.5.1 (for me anyway on a PIII 700
with 256mb G400 Max 32mb).

I have not noticed any performance drop on static flash sprites other
than when I scroll then around the stage, which would be expected
depending on the hardware.

I've never noticed a performance hit with static flash sprites, only
ones
that are animating......
