but my problem is different. If I well understand you are proposing to use a bitmap to mask out the video-clip backgound. But the video foreground changes over time. Static bitmap mask won't do.
If you want to change the shape of the video on the stage, I guess you would have to keep setting its mask member to the next shape you want. Might not be too practical if it's changing shape every frame.
