Largely, it's stuff the programmers put in, but there wasn't sufficient time & 
personnel to test/fix it well enough to make it public. Often these features, 
like rateshift, are documented in subsequent releases.

Then there are then [way too many] documentation errors. A lot of legitimate 
Lingo commands and features simply got left out of one or more forms of the 
docs.

Lingo has evolved over ten years or so, and it has proven a daunting task to 
keep up with the literally thousands of commands, properties, functions, and 
the like.
