Actually, I submitted this bug to Macromedia several months ago. This path issue also causes projectors to generate a movie PLAYLIST error if the path to the projector (including the name of the projector) is greater than 128 characters. This bug also affects Authorware. It affects any linked asset as far as I can tell.
It has been logged by the QA and support teams, but has yet to be fixed.
