> You use buddy, baGetFile, or baGetFolder... set a "default directory".The file browser opens. If you use "*.*" as the file type, it shows all files and folders. Besides that, what more are you trying to do? Like allow double-clicking to launch a file or something? What do you want the folder dialog to return? I'm missing the problem because this "just works."
Thanks for the response Troy, I wasn't intending to get a folder directory but open to a folder in windows explorer.
what happens if you do (I'm using paraphrased Lingo)
whichFolder = "path-to-the-folder" open "Explorer.exe whichFolder" ?
*just guessing"
I have a project where version
1.0 was just a data dump of a lot of files with a nice interface, like what
you would see on a CD-ROM when you buy a book.
For example, Gary Rosenzweig's, Special Edition Using Macromedia Director MX. The CD-ROM that came with the book has a listing of the source code for the chapters. When you click on the chapter it opens internet explorer to the directory that you selected. I thought it was interesting that I bought a book about Director and the CD-ROM was packaged using Flash.
