Terry--
You're right, though his request may initially appear to fall into a gray
area. He's not asking for a copy of Director--just a stub projector built
with Director.
It's not really a gray area, though. When you buy Director, you're really
buying two things--the development environment, and the rights to
distribute the runtime. Asking for a stub projector is, in fact, asking for
a pirated version of the runtime.
It's in all of our best interests to have Macromedia as healthy as
possible--our money goes for R&D, marketing (which helps us all), tech
support, training, etc., as well as profits.
Sorry if this seems harsh, but if you pirate, you're stealing. No
rationalizations--you're a thief. In this case, your theft affects me
personally, so I take it personally.
