You *purchase* the right to distribute Macromedia's runtime code.  Legally,
this right is subject to their Runtime Licensing Agreement which states in
bold at the very top of the page:

This agreement must be signed and return to Macromedia prior to
distribution of any publisher product.

It simply seems a bit unethical to me to distribute a projector with the
sole purpose of bypassing the need to purchase a legitimate copy of the
authoring tool and obtain the right of distribution yourself.  I even
recall one prominent Director website which was *selling* such runtime
projectors.

Then again, you could always use Shockwave. ;-)

Anyway, I didn't mean to cause a huge debate which is why I kept my post to
a single line comment originally.
