Man, you guys are sharp--that's why I love this list. Good catch, Mark.
So, let me amend once again:
- make a backup copy of your external cast. In fact, back up the whole
thing, as another alert person said yesterday (sorry, I deleted the e-mail,
so I can't give credit where it's due--it may have been Mark Jonkman)
- then do the select all, drag and drop, and unlink. Drag and drop will, as
I said, keep all your sprite references intact. Copy & paste won't.
And, Mark B. your solution for copying cast members goes into my special
solutions folder :-) It may be more work than the manual method the first
time around, but it's a nice little handler to have around.
I have to finish up a project today (yeah, working Sunday), but I'll write
a handler & post the code later in the week.
Cordially,
Kerry Thompson
