Clars and List,
We came across this same problem in the last to days. I seems that the Flash
files are running at a different frame rate than everything else. (Someone
please correct me if I'm wrong. Just our conclusion) I don't know how many
Flash files you have on the screen at once but the more you have the slower
everything gets. I thought I'd be cleaver and use swf files for the UI of my
project (buttons, artwork,... everything). If these files are imported into
the cast in authoring mode you can change some properties that will help.
Double click on the swf files in the cast, which brings up the Flash Asset
Properties dialog box, and change these properties as needed. You can find
out what these properties do by looking in the manual, Chapter 15 "Using
Interactive Media Types", page 389.
This helps a little but our problem was that we were downloading swf's on
the fly and it got to be to much to handle. We wanted to go with swf files
because they can be scalable and still look great while bitmaps just get
ugly. If anyone has any other experiences with Flash in Director and how to
handle I would be glad to read them.

Thanks, but I'm using 7.02.
I will surely update Flash Asset Xtra, as I have TONS of the stuff.
