Karina,

Sounds like you may have lost the resource fork on these mac files.
Cross platform files like director casts and movies can be
reassociated. But mac applications and xtras have executable code in
their resource forks. What typically happens when you move a mac app
to a pc and back again, is that the resource fork gets stripped off.

PC solutions to support these dual forked mac files usually involve
storing this resource fork in another hidden file or folder. I'm not
familiar with PC MacLan, but you might try moving the mac files back
to the original location on the fileserver and try Geoffrey's
suggestion again. ?? Or get a fresh copy from a mac.
