I'm running into a problem when I install Acrobat Reader on Windows
machines. I was wondering if any of you have had this same experience.
After installing Reader if the user tries to open it by opening a PDF file
the application starts and then quits before it opens the document. Now the
application is corrupt and you have to restart the machine to uninstall the
program and then re-install it.
On the other hand if you open Reader from the shortcut or application icon
it starts up fine, then you can open PDF files from it, quit the app, double
click PDF files to re-open it, etc. and everything works fine.
Anyone know whats going on?
Otherwise I'm going to have to tell my Director movie to open Reader without
opening a document, which I can do, but it is a rather obnoxious solution,
and I don't think this is normal behavior.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
kyle
