Do/did those machines have Acrobat 3 or AcroReader 3 installed? IIRC, the
Acrobat 4 installer recommends un-installing version 3 before installing
version 4.
Just a shot in the dark here as I've been distributing the Acrobat Reader 4
installer for some time now. I have no idea how many folks have actually
had to use it, but like yours, my projectors will install it if no Acrobat
is detected.
Also, to add to JRS's comment, beware of spaces in the file path or name.
If you're using Buddy API to detect Acrobat you can also use it to convert
the filename to its 8.3 equivalent. Something like:
baOpenFile(baShortFileName(pathToFile),"normal)
