That would explain the performance difference I observed. I wasn't saying
that Windows was better (or faster) than the Mac, honest! :-)

It wasn't--in fact, no other programs were running.

When/if that happens, I'll be interested in how it performs vs. the game
platforms, rather than Mac vs. PC. It will never have the performance of
compiled code, of course, but I'd like to see the ability to create a
decent 3-D gaming experience on Mac and Windows.
So far, Macromedia has remained mum on the authoring environment, and
whether it will run stand-alone on PC's, Macs, Playstation, etc.--though
there has been a lot of speculation. I guess we'll just have to be patient.
