At my (now former) company, we had a lot of legacy code I was maintaining.
Director files with Flash sprites, mostly done in D7 and F4.
I'm relatively new to Flash, so I don't even have Flash 4--only Flash 5.
Often, I would need to go back and make some modification to the older
Flash movies. It always seems to work fine.
Whilst waiting for D8.5, I've continued to develop new stuff in F5. I just
made sure that it doesn't contain any new Action Script if it was to be
used as a Director sprite.
