Hi.
I have a slight problem.
I have a set of sorenson compressed QuickTime Clips which are intended to
fit on a bitap background seamlessly.
I've been able to compensate for the contrast & brightness shift produced by
the compression by using the adjust sliders in Media Cleaner.
On 80% of the computers tested, the video fit seamlessly onto the
background. On the other 20% There is a stark difference, like the contrast
of the video is way down.
There seems to be no consistent differences between what version of Windows
or QuickTime the user is running.
I have another noticeable difference though. Two Identical Machines
Athlon 700, ASUS V-7700, Win2k, QT 4.12...
On one, the video shows up correct, on the other, it does not. On the
machine, which displayd the problem, I go to QuickTime's Video settings, and
set it to Safe Mode (GDI only) and suddenly the problem is gone. On the
othermachine, I did not have tom make that change. Even With Safe Mode
deselected the Video shows up great.
The only thing I can come up with, Is that all the machines tested so far
without problems have Photoshop installed. I'm thinkin maybe Adobe Gamma
Loader has something to do qith it... I'm going to try to deinstall
Photoshop, but that may not reveal it
I'm open to suggestions.
