Thanks. Yes my last name has the same meaning in Swedish and Norwegian.
Mostly it's used to describe someone who's manually skilful, like a
seamstress, for example. I think "Nimble" would be the english equivalent,
if my dictionary serves me right.

Probably brought here with the many German craftsmen that came here 500
years ago.
