At times? : ^] >Any way , in message handling, as you know, messages are first handled by >behaviors in a sprite script, then the cast script, then the frame script >and finally the movie script. So , if I wanted to make sure a script was >executed, I use the movie script. > >Is it alright to do that? No, you shouldn't restrict yourself to movie scripts. For example, if you had the "on exitFrame go the frame" as a movie script, your movie would be stuck in frame 1. That almost has to be a behavior in a frame script. Again, I don't mean to belittle you (far from it--I'm looking for a way to illustrate the problem). Think of the message hierarchy as a company hierarchy, with the movie script as president. Would you have the president answering the phones and buying stamps, and everybody else sitting at their desk playing solitaire? I tend to use behaviors much more than movie scripts. Movie scripts are more for handling things that happen at the beginning and end of the movie, or that affects everything (e.g., blocking the escape key). I very seldom use cast scripts--I find that they get overlooked, and lead to real head-scratching bugs.
