Carol -

Menus are open in their normal place.

Dialogs can track the mouse (there's a General Pref to set this)

w/the General Pref to CENTER set to OFF:

The Stage & Cast window loc/pos is saved on a per-movie basis. This
is because these windows are very movie-specific. Casts save their
view & other props too.

New Movie opens it's new Stage to the last size/pos changed
(said another way, when you change the stage size/position, you write
the pref for the next new movie's ...)

To set the cast defaults, use the Cast Prefs.

Most other windows (editors & control windoids) are saved as prefs of
the Director application. (they don't vary movie-to movie - opening
a movie that someone else has given you won't move them)
