sorry guys -- on a mac running Dir8.5. even movies i have saved before open with a weird palette position. Not the original i have saved with it. I just bugs me cause my score is in top of my stage so i always have to pull it down. I know that in Quark if you held the option key and arranged your palettes that it would set them as your default position. I thought maybe dir was the same. (i do have the save palette postions button checked). --carol
