>i need some help >how do i get powerpoint slides to open up in director, and run as a seperate >programme
You might not have guessed it, but you just asked a complicated question. The simple answer to what I think you need is to use the Open command: open "document path" with "application path" It may be that you don't know the application path, and so then it gets trickier. The BuddyAPI Xtra can do a lot of things, one of which (I think) is to allow you to open a document in a way that the system just works out the application part for you. Look into that. The other possibility, that makes the question even more complicated, is that there is a PowerPoint importer for Director. You could import the presentation and then play it as a Director movie. It's somewhat limited, I think it uses PowerPoint 3 files, and it may fail to all the transitions you had in the original file. If you do that, I would use the import as a starting point, and then tweak it in Director to clean up anything that isn't ideal. -- [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo.
