The quickest and easiest way would be to have a sub directory in your
program's structure that contains the PowerPoint Viewer which is freely
distributable (not the application), and then write a simple line of code in
a behaviour such to locate and open your powerpoint files with this viewer
as follows...

on mouseUp me
open the moviePath & "ppt\myppt.ppt" with the moviePath &
"viewer\pptviewer.exe"
end mouseUp me

or if you choose to have a property set which is tonnes better...

on mouseUp me
open the moviePath & myPowerPoint with the moviePath & "viewer\pptviewer"
end mouseUp me

This will open the PowerPoint file with the viewer in-front of your
projector and will return to the projector if you esc or quit PowerPoint
Viewer or finish the presentation.

I have experienced some weird problems with PowerPoint Viewer when renaming
the root directory of the projector after the powerpoint files have been
launched. It seems to lose it's bearings a little, however sticking to your
original directory names and using the searchCurrentFolder and/or the
searchPath syntax will help resolve any issues.

Another way would use BuddyAPI and use the openFile command, and this can do
a lot more error checking as well!
