Me: What is a Bravais pendulum?

Chat GPT repeated the crystallography statement David shared earlier.

So far the percentages are still weighed against the facts. Being told
something is incorrect and being provided accurate information has so far
failed to correct its response.

Asking ‘What are the different types of pendulums and how do they differ?’
generated a list of 5:
Simple pendulum: This is a mass hanging from a string or rod that swings back
and forth under the influence of gravity. The motion of a simple pendulum is
determined by its length and the strength of the gravitational field.
Compound pendulum: This is a pendulum that has a rigid body, such as a rod or a
solid sphere, that swings about a pivot point. The motion of a compound
pendulum is determined by its mass, length, and the distribution of mass around
the pivot point.
Foucault pendulum: This is a pendulum designed to demonstrate the Earth's
rotation by swinging in a plane that appears to rotate over time. The
pendulum's plane of swing changes continuously because of the rotation of the
Earth, which causes the pendulum to trace out a curve in space.
Physical pendulum: This is a pendulum that consists of a rigid body swinging
about a pivot point, such as a weight on a lever or a rotating wheel. The
motion of a physical pendulum is determined by its moment of inertia and the
strength of the gravitational field.
Torsion pendulum: This is a pendulum in which a small weight is suspended from
a thin wire or rod, and the motion of the pendulum is caused by the twisting
and untwisting of the wire or rod. The motion of a torsion pendulum is
determined by the tension in the wire or rod, the angle of twist, and the mass
of the weight.
Each type of pendulum has its own unique properties and is used for different
purposes, ranging from demonstrating the principles of physics to making
precise measurements in scientific experiments.

Poor old Bravais failed to make the cut, just not unique enough it seems.

Asked about the utility of pendulums for dowsing came back with a safe, better
off using

‘established methods, such as drilling, remote sensing, and geophysical
surveys…’

do we have electricity?!
