Me: what is a Bravais pendulum
How does a Bravais pendulum differ from Foucault's? Is it that it is
deliberately started with an elliptical path?
Yes, that's the only difference. The reason for the behaviour is that
it's not moving in an inertial frame - the earth rotates - so Newton's
laws are not quite accurate.
ChatGPT: I apologize, it seems my previous answer was incorrect. Can
you please provide more information or correct my understanding of a
Bravais pendulum?
I wonder what would have happened if you had responded that a Bravais
pendulum is designed to detect the presence of water in the vicinity of
gullible people? Or to detect the locus of health issues in unwell
people? Or the presence of viable marriage partners? Or pregnancy?
I might give that a try
Are your responses guiding it to other/more sources, or are they
sources themselves?
I don't know what it's doing. My guess is it's digging deeper into other
sources.
