Would another Linker with access to ChatGPT like to ask Bernard's original
question:
Q:    what is a Bravais pendulum?

It would be fascinating to see whether it has has learned anything about the
Bravais pendulum or about interpreting questions in general.  But it is
infuriatingly pleasant, rather like the HAL 9000 quoted by Harry McNally.

Apparently anyone (?) can have a test-drive on the OpenAI website at
https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/ providing they sign up for an account; I don't
know if there's a fee for new users.  What fun!  I must dream up something
interesting to ask.
