IMHO, Craig is quite justified in being ultra cautious.

a) the crims are getting more cunning,
b) it's the stress that's hard to deal with.
c) it's not just using credit/debit cards that are the risk.

Financial institutions need to recognise that some people will want to 
reduce their risk even at the expense of convenience and cost.

One size does not fit all.
