Although Link makes no effort to censor posts (it is open and unmoderated), we
tend to be more supportive to those who are seeking guidance on how to
rationally resolve an issue that is loosely described in our unofficial
'charter' (http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link).

Posters, however, are unlikely to get a very sympathetic ear from Linkers if we
are unable to understand what the problem is, or when the poster swamps the
bandwidth with frustration and emotion.

I'm sure that there are people on Link who would be happy to debate the
maturity of the Internet in Australia, or even on the responsibilities and
obligations of companies that provide an Internet service to customers, and
even views on what Whirlpool forums are all about (although the site states
this here: http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/wp_rules, and discusses what definition
of trolling it has adopted, and what action it will take if it detects
trolling).

Link, on the other hand, tolerates virtually anybody, including trolls - for a
little while, at least.

Warmly
iT
