Thanks for the suggestions. I have already tried the portname. It did not fix my problem. I get the Device not found with or without specifying a portname. The only thing that maybe causing the problem is that the addresses assigned to me are not contiguous. The data addresses are 2e70 & 71, but the control address is 2e75. This works with OS/390, but maybe not with Linux/390.
In the for what it is worth department, if I exit netsetup, to manually load qeth, I get an error for any parm passed to qeth.o . I am not sure why that is, because except for the addresses, I am copying the syntax right out of the book. Do any of the device driver developers have an insite to this mess.
