There has long been a 'Messages and Codes' manual which lists all the
error/informational messages and what they mean.  You can see one at

Look for GC24-6030, 31 and 32

Question: What is a "messages manual", what does it achieve ?

(This probably sounds as dumb to the S/390 crowd as the unix questions
 sometimes do to me but its a foreign concept)
