The other possibility is that "chandev=ctc0,addr1,addr2' should be
specified. Moloko Monyepao reported that when he tried that, it worked when
specifying escon0 did not.

Subject: ESCON CTCs for a RH 7.2 LPAR install

I saw this topic covered in prior posts, but am unable to discernt the
correct parms for my initial tape IPL.

In RH 6.2 I specify: ctc=noauto ctc=0,0x3220,0x3221,escon0 .... and
that works.

Same LPAR, RH 7.2, I tried the old parm plus tried Mark Post's
suggestion for CHANDEV=escon0,0x3220,0x3221 ... and neither work.

ifconfig escon0 results in 'error fetching interface information: device
not found'.

Does someone have a parm file for escon ctc's that they could share?

Thanks,
Paul
