I used Mark's suggestion for CHANDEV=ctc0,... and chandev=ctc0, ... Although the device appears correctly configured after the IPL, I cannot get it to connect to my system on the other end of the ESCON CTC.
Is ctc0 correct for both old bus and tag CTCs and newer ESCON CTCs or have I yet to get the configuration correct? As I said in a previous post, I ifconfig escon0 under RH6.2 and that system works over the same ESCON CTC. Thanks to all. Paul
