If you click on the "Linux on zSeries FAQs" link on the right of
that web page (the one in the message I've just chopped off, oh
well) then the first two questions give the answer:

Question: What is Linux. on IBM zSeries ?

Answer: Linux on zSeries includes both Linux for S/390. and Linux for
zSeries. It is used for information valid for Linux for S/390 and Linux
     for zSeries.

Question: What is Linux for zSeries? What is Linux for S/390?

Answer: Linux for zSeries is the 64-bit version of Linux running on the
IBM zSeries architecture, available with the IBM zSeries 900 (z900)
and IBM zSeries 800 (z800) models.

Linux for S/390 is the 31-bit version of Linux running on the IBM
zSeries servers, the 9672 S/390 Parallel Enterprise Server Generation
     5 and 6, and the S/390 Multiprise. 3000 servers.
