There is no training or going to SHARE. We have two sysprogs with VM
experience.

Well, nothing else is "required", but it is highly recommended that you
get
- an external security manager such as IBM's RACF.
- a directory management program such as IBM's DirMaint.
- a performance management suite such as IBM's FCON, Real-Time Monitor,
and/or Performance Reporting Facility.
In all three cases, there are non-IBM solutions available from other
vendors.
