If your two sysprogs do not have *current* VM experience, you'll be behind the eight-ball from the start. So many things have been included in z/VM recently -- many of them specifically related to Linux -- that you'd be doing them and your installation a disservice by expecting them to catch up on their own. (Note that the 'you' in this is not you personally, Craig, but your shop--no offense!) I can't understand why American organisations would turn their back on a resource like SHARE. I can't justify getting to every one (my first was Long Beach (96), my next will be San Fran (99) ), but the concentration of talent, knowledge and skill presenting on so many topics all in the one place for a week is a compelling draw. If I can justify coming over from Australia, why can't your shop send one or two when it's in your own backyard?
