Ok, then you have to add each of the CDs as individual apt source during the initial configuration after the reboot. You can't use the cdrom method in this case, you have to use ftp or http. The result looks like this in /etc/apt/sources.list: deb ftp://local.ftp.server/pub/debian-s390/cd1 stable main contrib deb ftp://local.ftp.server/pub/debian-s390/cd2 stable main contrib deb ftp://local.ftp.server/pub/debian-s390/cd3 stable main contrib ... This has the advantage that you only need to download the CD images that you actually need, usually 1 to 3. Please note that the non-free section is not included on the CD images so you have to answer "No" when base-config asks if non-free should be included. Regards, Stefan Gybas
