I think your memory is failing you a little. Your group ran IBMPC and
PCTOOLS (I thought the master for IBMVM was in Kingston, not your group
in Watson?). PCSHARE and VMSHARE were run by SHARE (out of McGill
University if memory serves) but were mirrored read-only inside IBM.

A little background for those outside IBM. The IBMxxxx conferences were
discussion systems and the xxTOOLS systems were for code distribution.
Both used TOOLSRUN (available on the VM download page!) which was
originally written by Mike Cowlishaw and then maintained by Bob Cronin.
There were literally hundreds of difference TOOLSRUN based systems in
IBM and many were mirrored to hundreds of VM systems from the master.
IBMPC was the first and largest of these conferences and went live very
early, I think in 1982!
