There are a few ways... Try this: make sure the printers are defined in /etc/printcap, make sure your username is a printer admin in smb.conf, make sure print$ is good to go, connect to the samba share from windows (run \\linux-server ), double click the printers tab, right click properties of the printer in question, click the advanced tab, press the new driver button, and select from the windows drivers or some .inf file. You should see your files getting uploaded to the print$ share. As noted in the how-to, to make sure a devmode is set set orientation to landscape (apply), and then back to portrait (apply) or some similar thing. This makes sure the driver's settings gets initialized since it's not on windows.
