Don, If your G2 has the microcode that supports the "Halfword Immediate and Relative Branch Feature" instructions, then you're all set. Performance for what you list as the initial uses _should_ be acceptable, but not sterling. :) Check through the archives for things that will stink because of the lack of an FPU.
