Trying to install Debian on my RA6 (G5) I have encountered on some
problems et the very beginning. I want to run it on an LPAR (SuSE works
perfectly this way).
I prepared a CD to use it on my HMC with just 4 files:
kernel.debian
parmfile.debian
initrd.debian
debian.ins
Everytime I try to load the boot kernel from this CD I get an error
saying that there was an error reading all files from CD. No more hints.
I downloaded the boot files from ftp.debian.org and their sizes are as
follows:
1313839 jan 1 1970 initrd.debian
2505728 may 21 2002 kernel.debian
3 jan 1 1970 parmfile.debian
I didn't find anything concerning that problem in Debian's
"Installing..." pdf.
Could anyone help, please ?
