If these ISVs are smart, they will gravitate toward standards like LSB, and certify their products for use on any LSB-compliant distribution. This will make their products available on a wide range of systems, while at the same time giving them a single target to follow. Some of the more adaptive ISVs are also interested in supporting Debian directly. -- - mdz
