Indirectly; like all Chinese corporations, the Communist Party has
significant influence on who receives preferment for executive positions,
and there is usually some expectation that senior executives (at least in
public) reflect the current party policies. The problem is not the Chinese
government, however. The "additions" I mentioned were not configured for
their use.
