I've got Notes 6.5 and a SuSE 8.2 system with the latest version of wine
(as far as I know) and I was
unable to install Notes 6.5 under it (and I tried using both the last beta
and then the gold release candidate
and then the posted gold code all with the same lack of success).

perhaps my wine isn't aged enough ;->

I have been told that 6.5 works under the current WINE level.

The strategy for Notes clients on Linux is to use iNotes on Mozilla
which is fully supported. We would all like a native Notes client on
Linux, but I can't speak to any plans for such.
