Yes, I am aware of that.  However, IBM has priced it out of this
world.....  Listing pricing
suggests roughly 30K for the server license per IFL, but where you get
nailed is the per-
concurrent-user license fee of roughly $1500 per license.  We estimate
200-300
concurrent users(mostly due to poorly written apps), and this adds an
additional $300K
to the INFORMIX equation.  We already have been leaning towards retiring
INFORMIX
in favor of DB2 anyway.

We are already a DB2 shop, so consolidating into fewer instances of DB2
running in virtual linux servers sounds better.
