Actually it advances the cause of programmers. I didnt understand RS for a
while but after developing apps using LAPM for 3 years, I have a totally
different opinion.
Anyway, I agree with you that this is not the forum to raise these issues

Careful about raising this argument...it marks you as a Stallmanite, and
there are lots of us who think he's an unmitigated kook. In particular,
Stallamn believes in freedom for users, but not programmers.
